Integrations

to publish responses from within MARA

Last Update 3 maanden geleden

You should add the Google, Booking and Tripadvisor Integrations for your property to publish your replies directly from within MARA. This can be done by Account Admins and Property Admins.

Go to your account settings and click on "add integration". You will be asked to log in to your Google, Booking or Tripadvisor account. In a few simple steps, you can then verify the connection. See below for more detailed explanations.

Multi-property Accounts

If all your properties are managed in one account on the OTA (one login to access all properties) you can add one Google and one Booking integration as described below, and connect all your properties with MARA at once. For Tripadvisor and Expedia you need to activate the Integration for each property separately.

Integration Steps

Below you can find detailed explanations on how to activate the Integrations for each OTA.

1.   Google

2.   Booking

3.   Tripadvisor

4.   Expedia

1.  Google

Click on "add integration" and a new tab with Google will open.

Log in with the Google User that replies to your property's Google reviews and has the necessary admin rights to enable access for third-party provider in your account:

Make sure to set the checkmark shown below to allow MARA to publish your replies and click on "continue":

Once the connection has been confirmed you can refresh your MARA-page and should see that the Google Integration is now active:

If the Google Integration is not showing the green checkmark, please try again (eventually using a different user login to your Google account). If that's not successful, please contact us - ideally with screenshots of what you see after the Google login.

2.  Booking

Log in with your booking account that manages your property. You will then see an overview of all connected providers with access to your Guest Reviews. You then need to confirm the connection with MARA in two steps:

After the connection has been activated in your Booking account, it takes some time for us to activate it in your MARA account. We will let you know if there was any problem. If you encountered any issues or received an error message throughout the process in Booking, please contact us.

Chain Accounts

If your property is part of a larger chain account in Booking, you might not be able to connect via the Quick Connect Feature. If that's the case and your connection attempt was unsuccessful, please let us know. We will look into it and start the connection process for you if needed (ideally directly share your Booking ID(s) to speed up the process).

3.  Tripadvisor

To activate the Tripadvisor Integration you only need to enter your Tripadvisor login credentials (the email and password you use to log into your property's tripadvisor account).

You must enter the correct email and password here. If you are uncertain, go to your Tripadvisor account first, log out, and the check your password during the login process - ideally copy it into MARA from there.

Suppose you currently use "log in with Google" to access your Tripadvisor account. In that case, you first need to go to your Tripadvisor account, click on your profile icon and select "account information" in the dropdown menue. There, you can set a password and check/change your primary email address, which you can use in MARA to activate the Integration.

After entering the Tripadvisor credentials you might need to refresh the page or wait a couple of minutes until the integration status changes to "pending"⚠️.

This status will be updated in the next 2-4 hours and once the integration has been verfified, it will change to "active"✅ .

4.  Expedia

To activate the Expedia integration, you must:

1. Go to the Expedia Admin Panel and connect MARA to the reviews of your property.

While Booking allows multiple providers access to a property's reviews, only one provider can be connected to your reviews in Expedia.

See the steps below, or check the Connectivity Settings Help Page for short videos of each step.

2. After you have activated the connection to MARA in your Expedia Account, you can activate the Integration in your MARA Account.

1.  Connect MARA in your Expedia Admin Panel

Navigate to the Connectivity Settings

  1. Select the property you want to manage

  2. In the left navigation bar, go to "Rooms and Rates” and select “Connectivity Settings”

Connect a new provider

  1. Select Get Started

  2. Search "MARA Solutions", then select Next

  3. Select Connect next to the Review service, then select Next

  4. Confirm the Review connection with MARA and click Connect

Disconnect an existing provider

(if you currently have another tool connected to your reviews)

  1. Select “Manage services” for your current provider

  2. Select “Disconnect” next to Reviews, then select “Next”

  3. Confirm that you want to disconnect the current provider from your Reviews and select “Confirm”

  4. Select “Close window” and then follow the steps above to add MARA as a new provider and connect your Reveiws.

2.  Activate the Integration in your MARA account

When you're done, click "add integration" in your MARA account to finish the integration.

We will check if the required rights are set up and approve the integration only if they are. To check whether the integration was successful, refresh the page.
